March 12 2013

The dirt moving is over for now and the loader has been returned. The area by the containers is now compacted and bulldozed. I'm surprised by how much more flat area we have now. I will now proceed to cut the top of the bunker down (it's 3.6ft above required grade) and convert it into a valve room. After this I can trench from the sand filter and run all the geothermal lines to the valve room as a terminus and then manifold them into the 2" pipe that will run to the guest house and the heat pump.
Once this has been completed I can then finish the sand filter and install the distribution box and septic tanks.
It snowed in the local mountains this weekend (Santa Suzannas) but we were in the 70's.

March 4 2013

Things are really humming along. I moved most of the dirt pile down to the ravine with the aid of a CAT 950k...what a super machine...it's quiet and has A/C..almost like driving a Cadillac, just a little larger. The ravine is almost full now and the new pad is very large. Lots of room for a tent!
Next steps are to convert the bunker into an equipment room and then trench for the geothermal lines to the bunker.
