I managed to get the I beams measured and drilled. I also sand blasted and painted one of them ready for placement.

The concrete expansion bolts (1") are in...time to lower in the beams for hole fit up.

It was very foggy today (thick marine layer). I cut all the beams to the correct sizes using a combination of the plasma cutter, grinder and chop saw. Sand blasting painting and drilling is next.

I've notched the "bunker" for the I beams using a hydraulic concrete saw powered by my trusty Unimog. The I beams are being worked on also with the final cutting to size after I've installed the 1" concrete bolts. Slowly but surely...
The weather is a balmy 72 degrees with an awesome cooling ocean breeze.

FIRE!!!!!!!

Slight hitch in the plans...A massive wildfire (Springs Fire) that burnt within  a  half mile of the construction site prevented any work from proceeding. Luckily we were spared any damage...it's all about brush clearance.....
