Wow it's been a while since I last posted. The construction permits have been pulled and some building supplies have been delivered (Foamglass under slab insulation). We've had a decent amount of rain but the drains have coped well.

May 20 2015. Cutting and Grading the Driveway

I've spent the past two days cutting the dirt out of the back of the property where the barn will be and moving the dirt by dump truck to the entrance driveway. I've been doing 6-8 inch lifts and compacting with the fully loaded dump truck...very effective compaction!
I still have a few more loads to go.

I spent the day cutting dirt out of the north side of the property and spreading it on the south side near the entrance to get the driveway up to grade and make room for the Barn It was cool (63F) and breezy with an onshore flow.
